Step up and join us as we celebrate the 2nd Annual Sowebo Landmark 5k on Sunday, October 7, 2012. Sowebo Landmark 5K aims to unite neighbors, families, schools, and local resources to empower our youth to be active, eat well, and lead healthy lives.

At the intersection of healthly living and diverse community engagement, this 2nd Annual 5K run/walk highlights the best of Southwest Baltimore’s communities, parks, people, and landmarks. The family friendly 5k run/walk, begins in Union Square Park and runs past Hollins Market, through the B&O Railroad Museum and down into Carroll Park and culminates back in Union Square. The park will also host a kids fun run and free community health fair including great music, delicious food, exciting vendors, screenings and education and fun for the whole family.

Sowebo community residents have teamed up with the Chesapeake Center for Youth Development (CCYD) and the Southwest Baltimore Charter School to stand up and get moving. Are you ready to step up?
